Why Use This Tool?

Twitter (now X) resizes and compresses every image you upload. Getting the dimensions right before uploading means less compression artifact and crisper images in your profile and tweets. The header photo is especially tricky — it's displayed at different widths depending on device, so proper sizing prevents unexpected cropping.

Privacy First — 100% Client-Side

Your images are processed entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded to any server. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after loading the page — the tool works offline.

Tip: For the header photo, keep your most important content (logo, text, focal point) in the center 1260×360 area. The outer edges can be cropped on narrower screens.

Tips for Twitter / X Images

  • Profile pictures are displayed as circles — avoid placing important details in the corners.
  • Header photos appear differently on desktop and mobile. The safe zone is the center 1260×360 pixels — keep logos and key text there.
  • In-stream images at 16:9 (1600×900) display without cropping. Other ratios will be cropped or letterboxed.
  • Twitter applies heavy JPEG compression — use PNG for screenshots and graphics to preserve text clarity.
  • Multiple images in a tweet are displayed in a collage — consider how your images look side by side.
